About the role
- Antenna Designer responsible for developing antennas for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS). Focus on integration into flying platforms and verification with advanced testing methods.
Responsibilities
- Development of antennas for radio communications within the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).
- Design, optimization and testing of antennas and RF front-ends — from early development to series production readiness.
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate technical concepts with respect to performance, integration and system compatibility.
- Support antenna design through verification and actively assist with platform integration and validation at component and system levels.
- Specify qualifying tests and measurements and verify antenna characteristics using modern test methods.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, RF Engineering or a related field — preferably with a Master’s degree or PhD, or equivalent qualification.
- Solid professional experience in antenna development and integration.
- Extensive experience in modeling and simulation using RF development tools such as CST Microwave Studio and AWR Microwave Office.
- Knowledge of RF front-end architecture and RF measurement techniques, including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and other RF test equipment.
