About the role
- Antenna designer creating and testing solutions for FCAS with a focus on airborne platforms at K-tronik GmbH. Involved in end-to-end antenna development from concept to verification.
Responsibilities
- Develop antennas for radio communication within the framework of the Future Combat Air System (FCAS), with a focus on integration into airborne platforms
- Design, optimize, and test antennas and associated RF front-ends — from early-stage development to production readiness
- Conduct feasibility studies and evaluate technical concepts in terms of performance, integration, and system compatibility
- Support antenna design through verification and actively assist with platform integration and validation at component and system levels
- Specify qualifying tests and measurements and verify antenna characteristics using modern test methods
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field — preferably with a Master’s degree or PhD, or an equivalent qualification
- Proven professional experience in antenna development and integration
- Extensive experience in modeling and simulation with RF development tools such as CST Microwave Studio and AWR Microwave Office
- Knowledge of RF frontend architecture and RF measurement techniques, including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and other RF test equipment
