About the role

• DevOps Engineer leading technical infrastructure and practices at JUST ADD AI. Utilizing modern cloud technologies and deployment strategies for scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• As a DevOps Engineer, you will take technical ownership of our infrastructure and DevOps practices.
• You are familiar with modern cloud technologies and deployment strategies.
• You automate processes, optimize workflows, and ensure reliable, scalable systems.
• You will work both hands-on on projects and products and on cross-project infrastructure and DevOps strategy.
• You will take responsibility for and further develop our Infrastructure as Code.
• You design and optimize CI/CD pipelines for reliable, automated deployments.
• You orchestrate containerized applications and work with cloud platforms.
• You identify technical debt and risks early and address them proactively.
• You mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and promote knowledge sharing.
• You bring best practices into the team and help others implement them.
• You flexibly step into full-stack development when capacity allows.
• You develop, test, and document using LLM-based coding assistants extensively.
• You are involved in development from conceptualization to production.

Requirements

• You hold a very good degree in Computer Science or have a comparable background.
• You have several years of experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform or Ansible.
• You possess solid knowledge of Kubernetes, both conceptually and in practical application.
• You have excellent programming skills, follow best practices, and have successfully delivered software projects with TypeScript or Python to production.
• You have hands-on experience deploying applications with CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD.
• You are familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Networking knowledge, especially in conjunction with cloud providers, is a plus.
• You enjoy mentoring others and sharing your knowledge.
• You think beyond the obvious and actively look for improvements.
• You enjoy working in a team and can communicate effectively with people from different disciplines (technical and non-technical).
• You have very good German language skills.
• You have a strong sense of responsibility and recognize risks early.
• Through your motivation and self-discipline you achieve a high quality standard, deliver results on time, and motivate other team members.
• You use modern tools, including AI, to work more efficiently.
