About the role

  • Senior Manager, CTO Office working closely with engineering to drive high-impact projects in a fast-growing healthtech startup. Focusing on strategic planning and operational excellence in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Strategic Partner to the CTO: Work side-by-side with the CTO and Engineering leadership to support operational excellence, drive decision-making, and ensure strong execution across all technology-related initiatives
  • Drive High-Impact, Cross-Functional Tech Projects: Own and deliver critical engineering, platform, and tech-ops projects — from improving incident response processes to optimizing delivery pipelines or scaling internal systems
  • Enhance Data-Driven Technology Decisions: Prepare and refine technical and business performance analyses, engineering KPIs, resourcing models, and productivity insights to enable high-quality decisions at speed
  • Support Organizational Development in Engineering: Help shape team structures, rituals, org design improvements, onboarding programs, and knowledge-sharing processes to enable a world-class engineering organization
  • Shape Change, Culture & Talent Initiatives: Partner with the CTO, Engineering Managers, and People team to strengthen engineering culture, drive talent development efforts, and support hiring for critical roles

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in high-performance environments (e.g., fast-growth startups, tech scale-ups, top-tier consulting, VC/PE, investment banking, or similar)
  • Exposure to strong engineering teams: You've seen how excellent tech organizations operate and understand modern software development practices
  • A degree in Business, Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and technical affinity: You can work with data, understand engineering concepts, and quickly grasp complex technical topics
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset with the ability to turn ambiguity into clarity and action
  • A pragmatic, high-standards approach: You know when “done” beats “perfect,” and when excellence is non-negotiable
  • A natural curiosity and willingness to challenge assumptions and improve processes
  • Fluency in German and English required
