Responsibilities
Manage & mentor a team
Supervise and review work prepared by junior team members
Establish and develop rapport with Clients, managing their accounts across various sectors
Attend client meetings related to your portfolio and provide support to junior colleagues during their meetings
Analyse and interpret financial statements
Oversee the preparation of management accounts
Manage annual audits, ensure accurate submission of VAT returns
Ensure all assignments are delivered in line with relevant regulatory frameworks
Assist management in organising training sessions and writing articles
Requirements
Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACA or ACCA)
2+ years of experience in a corporate, client-facing role with a Malta-based company
Experience of handling Maltese VAT-returns and other local financial and regulatory reporting
Experience of handling also foreign financial reporting could be seen as meriting
Previous experience of managing and mentoring team members
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
Proficient in MS Office and SAGE accounting system, or similar
Strong analytical skills with a tendency to find ways to work smart with the implementation of automated processes
Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
Proactive and well-organised with strong time management skills
