- Manage & mentor a team
- Supervise and review work prepared by junior team members
- Establish and develop rapport with Clients, managing their accounts across various sectors
- Attend client meetings related to your portfolio and provide support to junior colleagues during their meetings
- Analyse and interpret financial statements
- Oversee the preparation of management accounts
- Manage annual audits, ensure accurate submission of VAT returns
- Ensure all assignments are delivered in line with relevant regulatory frameworks
- Assist management in organising training sessions and writing articles
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACA or ACCA)
- 2+ years of experience in a corporate, client-facing role with a Malta-based company
- Experience of handling Maltese VAT-returns and other local financial and regulatory reporting
- Experience of handling also foreign financial reporting could be seen as meriting
- Previous experience of managing and mentoring team members
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in MS Office and SAGE accounting system, or similar
- Strong analytical skills with a tendency to find ways to work smart with the implementation of automated processes
- Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively
- Proactive and well-organised with strong time management skills
