About the role
- Senior Accounting Advisor managing client portfolios and ensuring accurate accounting records for a Malta-based firm providing corporate services. Overseeing financial reporting and supporting team members.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain relationships with a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
- Ensure accurate accounting records in line with applicable standards and liaise with relevant authorities
- Prepare VAT returns, tax returns, management accounts, and assist auditors
- Lead projects or ad-hoc financial reporting tasks
- Supervise and motivate team members, reviewing their work and ensuring effective communication
- Assist in onboarding new clients
- Identify opportunities for business growth
- Propose and implement improvements to systems and processes
Requirements
- ACCA qualified or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in client-facing roles, ideally within a CSP environment
- Proficient in English (written and spoken). Fluency in another language besides Maltese is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT and tax legislation
- Extensive knowledge of IFRS or locally accepted accounting standards
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
