About the role

  • Spectrum Engineer managing RF spectrum requirements for military events at Fort Bliss, TX. Ensuring emitter certifications and coordinating with associated agencies for successful mission execution.

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical technical and administrative support to CPE C3N at Fort Bliss, TX
  • Manage RF spectrum requirements for military events, including Project Convergence and Joint Warfighting Assessments
  • Ensure necessary certifications and frequency assignments for participating emitters
  • Develop RF Spectrum Plans and obtain approvals
  • Verify emitter certifications through research
  • Serve as a liaison between Project Offices, CFTs, CDIDs, and industry partners
  • Design spectrum plans addressing technical considerations
  • Utilize Spectrum XXI to submit temporary frequency requests
  • Assist with EA requirements and GPS-related events

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Associate of Science in an Engineering discipline OR a Bachelors in Engineering Technology
  • Successful completion of the Army (or Joint) Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager Course
  • Expert-level skill with Spectrum XXI
  • 4+ years applying telecommunications concepts (frequency deconfliction, record management, and interference resolution)
  • 5+ years performing test and evaluation on Army telecommunications systems.
