About the role
- Senior Mobile Engineer shaping mobile experiences for Jagex titles at the intersection of engineering and player experience. Delivering secure solutions across iOS and Android platforms.
Responsibilities
- Contribute across the full Software Development Lifecycle, delivering secure-by-design, production ready code supported by automated testing, peer review, and reliable deployment practices
- Act as a subject matter expert, ensuring technical solutions meet product needs and align with Jagex engineering standards
- Take ownership of the quality and delivery of complex engineering initiatives, ensuring outcomes meet stakeholder expectations
- Collaborate across teams and disciplines to deliver scalable, high-impact technical solutions
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, services, and engineering processes, driving continuous improvement across the organisation
- Support team effectiveness by helping engineers break down work into clear, value-driven increments and contributing to a strong, resilient production environment
- Participate in an on-call rotation to troubleshoot and resolve production issues when required.
Requirements
- Strong experience with native mobile development across both iOS (Swift / Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin / Java)
- Proven experience delivering secure, maintainable mobile architecture that interfaces cleanly with backend microservices
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and performance profiling tools
- Strong debugging, optimisation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate established codebases
- Demonstrable ability to mentor engineers and contribute to improving engineering standards and best practices
- Experience with C++ would be an advantage.
