About the role

  • Security Consultant advising clients on the planning and improvement of information security management systems. Engaging in audits and implementing tailored security solutions for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Advising clients on the planning, establishment, operation and improvement of Information Security Management Systems (ISMS)
  • Supporting clients in the development and further refinement of information security strategies and concepts
  • Analyzing processes and infrastructures as part of audits and assessing identified findings
  • Assessing and evaluating new technologies and technology trends (e.g., cloud migration, zero-trust architectures)
  • Acting as an idea generator and advocate for clients' information security management
  • Independently leading and executing projects
  • Working remotely (mobile office) or on client premises

Requirements

  • University degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, Natural Sciences) or equivalent qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in information security
  • Ideally certified such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP or a comparable security certification
  • Good knowledge of information-security-related ISO standards and the BSI IT-Grundschutz standards
  • Experience with national and European banking and insurance regulations (e.g., MaRisk, BAIT, VAIT, ZAIT)
  • Experience in modeling security requirements and their practical implementation in an operational IT security environment
  • Knowledge of Business Continuity Management and IT Service Continuity Management
  • Interest in current technologies and technology trends (e.g., cloud, DevSecOps, zero-trust, etc.)
  • Structured working style, responsible and independent approach to work
  • Willingness to travel throughout Germany
