About the role

  • Manufacturing Engineer developing process layouts and designs tools at Kamatics Corporation. Collaborating with machinists and applying Lean principles for manufacturing efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing Operations.
  • Develop manufacturing process layouts and tool designs.
  • Collaborate with machinists to improve efficiency.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Conduct research for equipment acquisition.
  • Program CNC machines using CAM systems.
  • Train Production Engineers and support team knowledge development.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and manufacturing issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a machine shop environment; proficiency with CAM programs required.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Blueprint reading and trigonometry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Team player with customer focus.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming, ISO procedures, tool knowledge, and fixture design.
  • Unigraphics and MCS 365 knowledge required.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed; occasional travel may be required.
