About the role

  • Gerente Trading Derivativos developing trading and hedge strategies for Ipiranga's oil derivatives. Managing risks and ensuring compliance in a dynamic market environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies that maximize financial results
  • Manage volumes of petroleum and biofuel derivatives
  • Participate in decision-making for hedge and directional strategies
  • Develop and implement trading strategies for petroleum and biofuel derivatives
  • Continuously monitor domestic and international energy markets
  • Manage long/short positions and ensure an appropriate risk-return balance
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analyses
  • Collaborate with internal areas such as Risk, Finance, Compliance, Logistics and Commercial
  • Negotiate with domestic and international counterparties
  • Monitor regulatory changes and ensure compliance with internal and external policies
  • Contribute to defining hedge policies and margin protection strategies
  • Prepare management reports and presentations for the board
  • Ensure proper execution of payments and financial controls for Ipiranga's trading activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Mathematics or related fields
  • Proven experience in commodity trading, preferably in oil and refined products
  • Deep knowledge of financial derivative instruments
  • Results-oriented with a focus on operational optimization
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced MS Excel proficiency
  • Negotiation skills, proactivity and creativity
  • Postgraduate degree or certifications in Finance, Capital Markets or Energy preferred
  • International experience or prior work in multinational companies
  • Experience with futures pricing operations (heating oil / RBOB)
  • Knowledge of the drivers behind freight pricing in the international market
  • Understanding of regional supply and demand balances
  • Experience interacting with regional market participants
