Responsibilities
We’re looking for a bright student to join our team as a Working Student, in the team that is tasked with maintaining and enhancing our domain ordering backend service in United Domains / IONOS Group.
You will learn domain registration business logic and how to design, optimize, and maintain critical systems handling high-volume transactions.

Requirements
Experience working with Linux in command line: installing Linux software from source and managing Linux packages and services;
Basic understanding of networking (addresses/subnets, domain resolution, routing, basic understanding of TCP, at least basic understanding of how firewalls work);
Database Design: experience with querying/modifying relational databases;
Programming experience in any programming language, showing us a non-trivial project will be an advantage.
APIs & Integrations: Experience with remote APIs (JSONRPC/Swagger/OpenAPI, XMLRPC/SOAP or REST). We use the EPP protocol extensively so some familiarity with XML will be appreciated;
BASH scripting;
Version Control: Git;
Ability to read English, write English intelligibly and be able to communicate verbally in English with other non-English speakers.
