About the role

  • Leading manufacturing planning and optimizing processes in an industrial engineering team at a hybrid workplace. Requires engineering background and project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing planning
  • Define work operations, sequences and equipment
  • Document manufacturing processes, including machine setup data
  • Create and maintain routings and material master data in SAP
  • Review and optimize technical documentation for practical feasibility
  • Assess manufacturability and determine manufacturing methods
  • Plan types and quantities of complex tooling with multiple functions/stages
  • Initiate production and procurement, coordinate design-related aspects
  • Develop capacity and utilization plans
  • Prepare schedules (in-house and external production) and perform target/actual comparisons
  • Develop and support quality-assurance initiatives
  • Independently carry out new production planning considering new or modified processes based on ergonomic and economic findings, possibly involving other business units
  • Investment planning and ROI forecasting
  • Conduct value stream analyses
  • Monitor and optimize the efficiency of machines and systems, including associated investment estimates
  • Lead the team both technically and disciplinarily – from resource planning to employee development
  • Independently and continuously optimize and further develop own area of responsibility and related processes

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics) or comparable qualification
  • Several years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in project management, Continuous Improvement Process (CIP), and shopfloor management
  • Experience in industrializing new products and processes
  • Excellent written and verbal German and English skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Solid knowledge of sheet metal processing
  • Strong knowledge of SAP, Lean, Kaizen, Methods-Time Measurement (MTM), 5S
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamworking skills, combined with high levels of authenticity, integrity and emotional intelligence
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a structured, goal-oriented and resilient working style, complemented by flexibility, commitment and organizational strength
