About the role

  • Quality Engineer responsible for quality assurance and supplier management at production locations in Obrigheim and Sinsheim. Requires travel between locations and expertise in quality management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Independent quality planning for development and serial-production projects
  • Support, approval and oversight of purchased parts and suppliers during project phases
  • Independent evaluation of requirements and preparation of quality-relevant documents
  • Facilitation, documentation and monitoring of design and process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs)
  • Independent execution of process assessments, including process capability analyses
  • Handling of customer complaints, including analysis, immediate corrective actions and durable problem resolution
  • Responsible preparation of analyses and quality reports
  • Facilitation and follow-up of problem-solving meetings

Requirements

  • University degree in engineering, business engineering, a scientific discipline, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in quality management and/or advanced quality planning in a similar position
  • Strong technical understanding
  • Advanced knowledge of common quality tools (in particular FMEA, APQP, sampling/PPAP, problem solving/8D)
  • Good SAP and MS Office skills
  • Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent communication and proven conflict-resolution skills, as well as ability to integrate into teams
  • Independent and responsible working style, analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Customer orientation, high stress resilience and flexibility are advantageous
