  • Leads QA efforts ensuring web applications meet customer requirements effectively in Agile environments. Builds automated testing while mentoring QA team members in Pune, India.

Responsibilities

  • Leads QA efforts to ensure products meet customer requirements

  • Builds and maintains automated testing for web applications
  • Stays current with industry trends to improve testing practices
  • Reviews requirements and provides clear, timely feedback
  • Defines and executes test strategies, including UAT, to ensure high-quality releases
  • Creates clear test plans and test cases
  • Collaborates with engineering and product teams to refine requirements
  • Sets and promotes QA best practices, standards, and processes
  • Leads, mentors, and grows QA team members
  • Owns the QA roadmap aligned to business and product goals
  • Tracks quality metrics and drives continuous improvement
  • Leads quality reviews, risk assessments, and release readiness decisions
  • Ensures consistent automation and quality practices across products
  • Promotes a strong culture of quality, accountability, and learning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Web Systems, or related field—or equivalent QA experience
  • 8+ years of QA experience, including 2+ years in a leadership/people management role
  • Strong knowledge of software testing best practices, methodologies (white/black box, integration), and QA processes (system, acceptance, regression testing
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, jQuery, or similar technologies, with experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, PyTest)
  • Experience testing APIs and working with XML, XSD, JSON, REST, and SOAP
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, and tools such as JIRA, GitHub, and Jenkins
  • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including cloud-native services (e.g., EKS, ECR)
  • Experience testing modern applications, including AI/LLM-based features, and using AI assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate automation
  • Experience testing security scenarios and partnering with Security teams on automated scans (e.g., container scans, TPS scans)
  • Strong ability to design test scenarios and create detailed, repeatable test cases (functional and data-driven) while managing multiple complex projects
  • Proven experience leading QA teams, scaling automation, standardizing processes, and influencing product/engineering decisions through data and risk analysis
