Responsibilities
Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of AI software solutions including algorithms, frameworks, and AI software architectures across domains such as computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning
Assist in implementing and tuning models for performance and accuracy, applied research, and hardware/software integration
Create AI software solutions in partnership with internal product teams and external partners
Participate in system-level deployment activities for scalable AI solutions
Engage in learning opportunities and skill-building activities aligned with career development goals
Support various projects that advance Intel's AI software engineering objectives
Requirements
Must be a student actively pursuing a PhD in engineering or computer science program with emphasis on Artificial Intelligence
Specialization in topics related to federated learning, image classification, or multiscale attention for object detection, computer vision, image processing, and feature engineering
Research/coursework experience with explainability tools
Coursework or experience in the following: Data engineering and preparation expertise: data engineering, feature engineering, data imbalance, noisy dataset management
Python and C++
PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV
Experience in deploying AI applications in production environments, requiring high levels of precision and accuracy (preferred)
Experience working within the semiconductor industry or similar technology sectors (preferred)
Research achievements: First-author publications in top computer vision conferences (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS) (preferred)
A strong portfolio demonstrating projects in computer vision/image AI (e.g., open-source contributions, research papers/projects) (preferred)
Git, cloud platforms, cloud concepts, containers, Docker, and MLOps (preferred)
