Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and optimization of AI software solutions including algorithms, frameworks, and AI software architectures across domains such as computer vision, machine learning, and deep learning
- Assist in implementing and tuning models for performance and accuracy, applied research, and hardware/software integration
- Create AI software solutions in partnership with internal product teams and external partners
- Participate in system-level deployment activities for scalable AI solutions
- Engage in learning opportunities and skill-building activities aligned with career development goals
- Support various projects that advance Intel's AI software engineering objectives
Requirements
- Must be a student actively pursuing a PhD in engineering or computer science program with emphasis on Artificial Intelligence
- Specialization in topics related to federated learning, image classification, or multiscale attention for object detection, computer vision, image processing, and feature engineering
- Research/coursework experience with explainability tools
- Coursework or experience in the following: Data engineering and preparation expertise: data engineering, feature engineering, data imbalance, noisy dataset management
- Python and C++
- PyTorch, TensorFlow, and OpenCV
- Experience in deploying AI applications in production environments, requiring high levels of precision and accuracy (preferred)
- Experience working within the semiconductor industry or similar technology sectors (preferred)
- Research achievements: First-author publications in top computer vision conferences (CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS) (preferred)
- A strong portfolio demonstrating projects in computer vision/image AI (e.g., open-source contributions, research papers/projects) (preferred)
- Git, cloud platforms, cloud concepts, containers, Docker, and MLOps (preferred)
