Responsibilities
- Technical leadership and development of multiple software engineering teams with a high degree of autonomy
- Close, collaborative partnership with the Head of Development to actively shape the next phase of our technological transformation
- Overall responsibility for complex development initiatives — from architectural decisions to delivering scalable, cloud-based systems
- Advancement of our software development processes and establishment of AI-assisted coding as a regular part of developers' daily work
- Coaching and sparring with developers and promoting an open, agile, and feedback-oriented working culture
- Further development of agile delivery, clear prioritization, and reliable planning
- Ensuring clean interfaces between product management, architecture, and operations
- Opportunity to gradually expand responsibilities and to progress toward technical and organizational leadership roles
Requirements
- Several years of experience in enterprise software development, ideally in technology-driven environments (startup, scale-up, or mid-sized company)
- Solid practical experience in agile software development (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
- Strong knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD)
- Experience building and operating cloud-based SaaS solutions, preferably on AWS
- Strong programming skills in Java and experience in frontend development
- Experience in the technical leadership of software development teams
- Clear, audience-appropriate communication at eye level — with developers, management, and stakeholders
- Very good German and English language skills (at least C1 level)
