About the role

  • Technical Consultant Requirements Engineering for Bundeswehr's defense projects. Involves managing requirements lifecycle, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring quality assurance in project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • As a Technical Consultant for Requirements Engineering, you will support the Bundeswehr in successfully and sustainably delivering complex defense procurement projects.
  • Whether working in structured or agile environments, our requirements engineering covers the entire lifecycle of exciting projects — from elicitation and specification of requirements, to supporting field test events, and operating requirement-based usage and obsolescence management.
  • Together with our clients you will identify and define tailored requirements for IT and non-IT systems, services and processes used in safety-critical environments.
  • Through creative, goal-oriented workshops and other elicitation techniques, you will work with Bundeswehr stakeholders to develop functional and non-functional requirements.
  • You will contribute to the design and expansion of existing requirements management systems and methodologies and advise our clients on optimizing and digitizing requirements processes and tools.
  • You will create and maintain requirement baselines and analyses, primarily digitally and (where applicable) in Requirements Management Systems.
  • You will support the client in planning, executing and evaluating verification and validation activities.
  • You will ensure that tests and inspections are closely linked to the requirements.
  • Together with the team, you will ensure sustainable documentation and quality assurance of produced deliverables and share your knowledge.

Requirements

  • University degree (e.g. in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field) or comparable vocational qualification
  • You enjoy working with clients and support them with an open mindset as a neutral, motivating partner.
  • You are able to present and explain even complex issues in an appropriate and understandable way for your audience.
  • You apply creative methods and techniques for requirements elicitation.
  • You use both models and natural-language documentation of requirements in a purposeful and appropriate manner.
  • Ideally, you have experience in designing and maintaining information models and their interoperability and are familiar with common tools and exchange formats in requirements management.
  • You think analytically, are structured, work independently and conscientiously, and are a true team player.
  • You have excellent German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • You are willing to travel occasionally for work.
