Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of new hardware and software platforms
- Further develop development tools for software and hardware engineering
- Support build and test automation (e.g., CI/CD)
- Adapt Embedded Linux for our virtualization solution
- Assemble toolchains to build our application (e.g., Docker containers for building software)
Requirements
- Completed degree relevant to the role, e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering
- Alternatively, demonstrable skills that match this job posting
- Experience with embedded (Linux) systems
- Fundamentals in electrical and digital engineering
- Confident working with Linux
- Solid knowledge of C and Git
- Interest in implementing secure boot (BIOS/Coreboot)
- Ideally: experience with Embedded Linux (Buildroot, Yocto, OpenADK)
- Writing scripts and tools in Python, Bash, etc.
- Experience in security (Secure Boot), hypervisor and Linux container concepts (LXC)
- Experience working in an agile environment (SCRUM/Kanban)
- Experience with Coreboot, U-Boot, LinuxBoot
- Low-level Linux knowledge (kernel, drivers and system-level libraries, as well as POSIX functions and syscalls)
