Responsibilities
- Build and maintain rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts
- Develop annual budgets and forecasting models
- Analyze margins by service line and improve profitability
- Provide executive-level monthly reporting and financial insights
- Develop KPI dashboards for leadership
- Strengthen and manage relationships with local California banks and lenders
- Prepare lender-ready financial packages
- Support SBA, equipment financing, or credit facility conversations
- Monitor loan covenants and debt schedules
- Oversee bookkeeper/controller and improve monthly close process
- Ensure accurate, timely financial statements
- Improve chart of accounts and reporting structure
- Build financial processes that scale with growth
- Support pricing strategy and cost control initiatives
- Improve overhead structure and operational efficiency
- Help prepare company for future expansion or financing needs
Requirements
- 5+ years in CFO, Director of Finance, or Controller roles
- Strong small to mid-sized business experience ($2M–$15M revenue)
- Experience building cash forecasts and managing working capital
- Experience working directly with banks and lenders
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Must be local to Fresno or within driving distance
- Willing to attend in-person meetings as needed
- Preferred: Construction or home services industry experience
- SBA lending familiarity
- Multi-entity or job-costing experience
- QuickBooks Online expertise
