About the role

  • Analytics Engineer to architect the foundation for Databricks Genie at In Tandem. Design semantic layers and metrics framework for governed, AI-ready insights across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold) in Databricks.
  • Redesign reporting tables into star-schema dimensional models across key domains.
  • Build and govern semantic and metrics layers using dbt Core and Unity Catalog.
  • Consolidate and standardize 50+ legacy metric definitions into a unified, versioned framework.
  • Establish data governance, testing, and CI/CD workflows for reliable deployment.
  • Partner with data engineers to optimize compute, storage, and query performance.
  • Collaborate with business analysts on A/B testing, LTV modeling, and product analytics.
  • Develop AI-ready datasets and metric views that power Genie and other ML applications.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and experimentation with clear, statistically sound insights.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in analytics engineering, data modeling, or advanced analytics.
  • Expert in SQL and dbt Core, with proven experience in dimensional modeling.
  • Strong understanding of Databricks and Unity Catalog.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, and analytics testing frameworks.
  • Strong business acumen — you translate metrics into meaningful action.
  • Experience with A/B testing, statistical inference, or causal analysis (preferred).
  • Python proficiency for analytics and light modeling (preferred).
  • Knowledge of AI coding best practices and data readiness for LLMs (preferred).
  • Experience enabling self-service analytics through governed semantic layers (preferred).
