About the role

  • Werkstudent/in focusing on inverse deflectometry development at Fraunhofer. Engaging in optical measurement techniques and improving existing test setups.

Responsibilities

  • Advance experimental design: analyze and improve the test setup and the mathematical reconstruction methods.
  • Execute measurement series: perform measurements on spectacle lenses and safety goggles and carry out the corresponding simulation calculations.
  • Assess measurement accuracy: determine the measurement dynamics, precision, and the physical limits of the method.
  • Data processing and algorithm development: develop appropriate evaluation algorithms.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a degree program in Physics, Mathematics, Medical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Motivated, creative, and curious to explore new topics.
