About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design innovative compression algorithms and implement them as efficient software
  • Evaluate and compare our approaches with competing methods
  • Contribute your ideas and collaborate with the team to develop innovative solutions
  • Ensure high software quality throughout the development process
  • Document and communicate evaluation results and insights

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Electrical Engineering, Multimedia Technology, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of signal processing
  • Excellent understanding of video codecs, including HEVC and/or VVC
  • Practical project experience (minimum 3 months) designing or improving an image or video codec
  • Hands-on programming experience in C++
