Manager of tax operations overseeing compliance and audits for IFF in China and Northeast Asia. Collaborating with global partners on tax regulatory changes and compliance.
Responsibilities
Manages the China-based Shared Services Center tax team, ensuring compliant and audit-ready tax operations through strong governance, KPI oversight, and robust internal controls.
Responsible for IFF related tax filing obligations in China & Northeast Asia – review tax compliance submissions across corporate income tax returns, indirect tax filings and any other local tax required filings.
Manage tax audits and disputes, working closely with tax authorities, legal advisors, and external auditors.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulatory requirements, ensuring IFF remains fully compliant with local laws
Provide tax advisory to the business on relevant tax regulations and impact of any change in legislation.
Execute local transfer pricing operations and implement changes to pricing, liaising with stakeholders on TP adjustments.
Collaborate with finance, legal, and business teams to support cross-border transactions and tax implications of business operations.
Identify tax risk and ensure compliance with IFF tax governance and risk management frameworks.
Support HQ tax reporting requirements.
Provide tax support on various projects as well as leading ad-hoc tax matters/projects as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Taxation
Professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, CTA etc.
Minimum 8-10 years of tax experience ideally with Big 4 firms, multinational companies or in regional tax roles.
Strong Analytical skills and ability to work along with cross country / functional teams.
Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and in person as part of the role will include working with global partners in different time zones and cultures.
Deep understanding of China tax regime and familiarity of tax matters in other Asian countries is highly preferred.
