About the role

  • Inventory Controller responsible for ensuring inventory integrity and compliance within logistics operations for a global leader in taste and scent. Collaborating with various teams to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing and optimizing warehouse and logistics operations to ensure inventory integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Monitoring shelf life, managing storage and transfers, coordinating destruction processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across internal teams and third-party logistics providers.
  • Acting as a central operational partner to the Warehouse Manager, ensuring seamless execution of warehouse activities in line with GMP, safety, and business requirements.
  • Collaborating with Quality Control and Planning to determine extension or destruction actions for near-expiry batches.
  • Ensuring correct material storage based on stock placement principles, continuously improving location accuracy.
  • Coordinating material transfers with affiliates for SLOB and Overmax items and following up on all related actions.
  • Managing and executing the official destruction process in full compliance with regulatory and GMP requirements.
  • Overseeing 3PL warehouse performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency.
  • Leading cycle count planning and execution, ensuring inventory accuracy and completeness.
  • Anticipating warehouse capacity needs, conducting efficiency and performance analyses, and proposing data-driven process improvements.
  • Monitoring return-to-order batches and ensuring seamless execution of all related workflows.
  • Providing comprehensive operational and administrative support to the Warehouse Manager and ensuring cross-functional alignment with Production, Planning, QA/QC, Technical Services, Procurement, Marketing, and Sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Business Administration, or Logistics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and warehouse management, preferably within the food industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience working in an SAP environment (5+ years).
  • Solid understanding of GMP regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) and environmental management systems.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct capacity analysis and performance measurements.
