About the role

  • Statistical Programmer developing statistical programs to support clinical trials at ICON plc. Collaborating with biostatisticians and contributing to regulatory submissions within a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and validating statistical programs to support the analysis and reporting of clinical trial data, using R, R Shiny and SAS
  • Collaborating closely with biostatisticians to interpret study requirements and ensure accurate implementation of statistical analysis plans
  • Preparing and reviewing programming specifications, derived datasets and outputs in line with regulatory standards and submission requirements
  • Performing quality control checks to ensure accuracy, consistency and data integrity across deliverables
  • Supporting the preparation of statistical reports, tables, listings and figures for regulatory submissions and internal stakeholders
  • Contributing to process improvements and best practices within statistical programming
  • For senior level candidates, mentoring junior programmers and supporting knowledge sharing across the team

Requirements

  • Experience in statistical programming within a clinical research or pharmaceutical environment, across either mid level or senior scope
  • Strong hands on programming experience in R and SAS, with R Shiny experience highly valued
  • Solid understanding of statistical methodologies, clinical trial data and regulatory requirements including ICH and GCP
  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a related discipline, with an advanced degree considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with high attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non technical stakeholders.
