Senior Electronics Engineer designing and developing high-reliability mixed-signal electronics for satellite systems at ICEYE. Leading technical direction and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams in mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, validation, and qualification of high-reliability mixed-signal electronics for satellite systems
Own electronic subsystems end-to-end, from concept through design, testing, and in-orbit support
Drive technical direction and best practices across avionics and hardware engineering teams
Coordinate multidisciplinary development efforts across electronics, systems, and manufacturing teams
Perform hands-on lab work, including bring-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, and performance validation
Use data and testing insights to guide design trade-offs and improve system-level performance
Mentor engineers and contribute to raising engineering standards across the organization
Contribute to continuous improvement of ICEYE’s electronics platform and long-term hardware strategy
Requirements
5+ years of experience in electronics engineering in fast-paced or mission-critical environments
Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional hardware development projects
Strong expertise in board-level design, including schematics, PCB layout, simulation, bring-up, and validation
Strong hands-on experience with laboratory measurements and advanced test equipment
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve board- and system-level issues using data-driven approaches
Ability to influence technical direction and make architectural trade-offs
Strong communication skills in English and ability to collaborate across teams
Ability to work independently while mentoring and supporting others
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Experience with Python and scripting in Linux environments
Experience in aerospace or other high-reliability industries
Understanding of on-orbit challenges such as radiation, thermal effects, and continuous operation
