Security & Emergency Management Manager overseeing site security, life safety, and emergency management systems at Hyundai. Engaging in corporate-level program deployment and operational oversight across multiple locations.
Responsibilities
Oversee performance, inspection, testing, repair, and upgrades of site fire/life safety systems in alignment with NFPA standards.
Manage emergency response, preparedness, drills, and response coordination based on ISO 21110 and NIMS framework.
Lead and manage physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, alarms, and contracted security vendors.
Conduct periodic multi-site security and safety audits to assess risk and compliance.
Develop and maintain corporate emergency management plans, business continuity alignment, and crisis communication protocols.
Lead emergency response teams and facilitate tabletop exercises and post-incident debriefs.
Create and deploy corporate-level security and emergency response programs across all facilities.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and performance metrics for security and life safety service providers.
Maintain required documentation, system certifications, inspection logs, and risk assessments.
Collaborate with EHS, Facilities, Legal, HR, and site leadership to maintain secure and compliant operations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Security Management, Occupational Safety, Fire Protection, or related field. Education requirements can be waived due to experience and professional certification
Minimum 5 years of experience managing security, fire/life safety, and/or emergency management systems.
Multi-site support experience required, preferably in corporate or technical operations.
Working knowledge of NFPA fire protection standards, ISO 21110 emergency management, and NIMS principles.
(Preferred) knowledge with EV battery safety and chemical hazard awareness
(Preferred) Fire system specialist, emergency management and response planning.
Experience managing contracted security vendors or guard force programs.
Certifications such as CPP, CHPP, PEM, CFPS, or ICS/NIMS advanced training.
Experience with access control, CCTV, or enterprise physical security systems.
