Manager, Tax Reporting supporting global tax provision processes for Hyatt. Reviewing tax provisions, compliance, and enhancements in a dynamic and growing hospitality organization.
Responsibilities
Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations in compliance with ASC 740
Review and analyze temporary differences, valuation allowances and uncertain tax positions ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance with US GAAP
Support preparation and review of stand-alone financial statements
Assist in analyzing the tax accounting impacts of new legislation and accounting standards including preparation of related disclosures
Partner with Corporate Finance, Accounting and other functions
Support analysis of international tax accounting impacts arising from global operations, business combinations and intercompany transactions
Support SOX 404 controls testing processes by ensuring effective design, documentation and operation of key controls
Coordinate with external auditors and manage audit-related requests for tax matters
Identify and lead process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and automation in the tax reporting function
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and/or large multinational corporate tax experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Deep knowledge of ASC 740 and US GAAP tax accounting principles; strong understanding of international tax concepts and their accounting implications
Candidate should be inquisitive and highly motivated in optimizing tax processes and project management
Master’s degree in taxation preferred
CPA Preferred
Onesource Tax Software experience preferred
Oracle and Hyperion experience preferred
Alteryx or other similar experience preferred
