About the role

  • Financial Controller overseeing financial processes for a global manufacturer of building materials. Ensuring compliance with financial standards and contributing to international team initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes and review financial statements;
  • Perform account analysis, balance sheet monitoring, and prepare/review journal entries;
  • Monitor administrative costs and support budget control;
  • Assist with forecasting, annual target setting, and management reporting;
  • Collaborate with budget holders and local financial controllers;
  • Support tax compliance and ensure adherence to IFRS/GAAP requirements;
  • Contribute to internal control, risk management, and audit processes;
  • Support treasury activities (e.g., hedging and capital structure monitoring);
  • Utilize automation tools for data analysis and anomaly detection.

Requirements

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business;
  • Proven work experience in a multinational or Shared Service / Centre of Excellence environment;
  • Exposure to closing governance and accounting policy application (IFRS);
  • Knowledge of SAP FI/CO;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
  • Knowledge of R2R (Record-to-Report) processes;
  • Ability to leverage Copilot and automation tools to standardise and improve processes;
  • Understanding of internal control frameworks and compliance principles;
  • Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines;
  • Proactive, structured and accountable personality with strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multinational environment.
