About the role
- Financial Controller overseeing financial processes for a global manufacturer of building materials. Ensuring compliance with financial standards and contributing to international team initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes and review financial statements;
- Perform account analysis, balance sheet monitoring, and prepare/review journal entries;
- Monitor administrative costs and support budget control;
- Assist with forecasting, annual target setting, and management reporting;
- Collaborate with budget holders and local financial controllers;
- Support tax compliance and ensure adherence to IFRS/GAAP requirements;
- Contribute to internal control, risk management, and audit processes;
- Support treasury activities (e.g., hedging and capital structure monitoring);
- Utilize automation tools for data analysis and anomaly detection.
Requirements
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business;
- Proven work experience in a multinational or Shared Service / Centre of Excellence environment;
- Exposure to closing governance and accounting policy application (IFRS);
- Knowledge of SAP FI/CO;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
- Knowledge of R2R (Record-to-Report) processes;
- Ability to leverage Copilot and automation tools to standardise and improve processes;
- Understanding of internal control frameworks and compliance principles;
- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines;
- Proactive, structured and accountable personality with strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multinational environment.
