About the role
- Hotel Maintenance Engineer ensuring smooth operations of hotel maintenance systems and guest safety. Performing repairs and preventative maintenance across various hotel facilities and systems.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining the overall functionality and appearance of the hotel’s physical structure and systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, responding to maintenance requests, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel’s facilities and systems are functioning efficiently.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with guests during maintenance calls.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Report major repair needs or equipment malfunctions to the Chief Engineer.
Requirements
- Previous experience in building maintenance, engineering, or a related field.
- Hospitality experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Basic carpentry, painting, and general repair skills.
- Familiarity with safety codes and regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems a plus.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities such as climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and working in tight spaces.
