About the role
- Accountant responsible for financial bookkeeping and reporting at Keplinger, a long-standing Austrian timber trading company. Handling various accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Processing all accounting transactions in accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Fixed assets accounting
- Monitoring and posting of bank accounts and online banking transactions
- Creating and maintaining vendor and customer master data in our ERP system
- Point of contact for internal sales/service regarding credit limits
- Preparation and submission of monthly VAT returns
- Year-end closing preparations and handling of the dunning/collections process
- Reporting: preparing analyses, special reports and project work
- Supporting the further development of our existing accounting tools
- Financial reporting (in particular clarification of tax-related issues)
- Resolution of open delivery notes and customer complaints/claims
Requirements
- Completed commercial vocational training, ideally with further qualification as an accountant or equivalent training
- Professional experience in accounting is essential
- Structured and analytical way of working
- Good knowledge of working with an ERP system; confident use of MS Office programs
- Ability to work independently, team-oriented and resilient
