Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer overseeing internal servers and supporting Helpdesk in maintenance tasks. Collaborating with IT teams in Europe and China for network management and cloud support.
Responsibilities
Monitoring and maintenance of internal servers (Windows/Linux), storage systems, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware)
Supporting the helpdesk team and handling technical inquiries related to infrastructure
Assisting in the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of network components (routers, switches, firewalls)
Coordinating network connections between the headquarters in China and European sites
Supporting the setup and maintenance of the company’s cloud environments
Contributing to the development of automation scripts to improve efficiency and standardize IT processes
Implementing and monitoring security policies, system logs, and backup and recovery procedures
Ensuring system stability and business continuity
Creating and maintaining technical documentation, configuration logs, and manuals
Assisting with the standardization of IT processes across the European region
Close coordination with IT teams in Europe and China
Supporting regional project implementations and system integrations
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Entry-level candidates and graduates with up to 2 years of professional experience are explicitly welcome
Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server administration
Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
Initial exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
Basic understanding of IT security, backup strategies, and disaster recovery
Very good knowledge of German, English, and Chinese, both spoken and written
Strong willingness to learn and analytical thinking
Independent, structured, and responsible working style
Team player with strong intercultural communication skills
