About the role
- Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer overseeing internal servers and supporting Helpdesk in maintenance tasks. Collaborating with IT teams in Europe and China for network management and cloud support.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and maintenance of internal servers (Windows/Linux), storage systems, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware)
- Supporting the helpdesk team and handling technical inquiries related to infrastructure
- Assisting in the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of network components (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Coordinating network connections between the headquarters in China and European sites
- Supporting the setup and maintenance of the company’s cloud environments
- Contributing to the development of automation scripts to improve efficiency and standardize IT processes
- Implementing and monitoring security policies, system logs, and backup and recovery procedures
- Ensuring system stability and business continuity
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation, configuration logs, and manuals
- Assisting with the standardization of IT processes across the European region
- Close coordination with IT teams in Europe and China
- Supporting regional project implementations and system integrations
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Entry-level candidates and graduates with up to 2 years of professional experience are explicitly welcome
- Basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server administration
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Initial exposure to virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Basic understanding of IT security, backup strategies, and disaster recovery
- Very good knowledge of German, English, and Chinese, both spoken and written
- Strong willingness to learn and analytical thinking
- Independent, structured, and responsible working style
- Team player with strong intercultural communication skills
- Motivation to develop professionally and personally in an international environment
