About the role
- Senior Consultant handling IT forensics incidents and response in a consulting firm. Collaborating on team projects to resolve cyber threats and restore operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and respond, as part of a team, to attacks on our clients’ IT infrastructure and contribute to forensic investigations, containment, business continuity and recovery.
- Provide technical expertise in incident handling – remotely and on-site at client locations.
- Investigate forensic questions, perform technical analyses to determine the attack vector, and provide clients with a clear overview of the incident.
- Secure and analyze digital evidence suitable for legal proceedings using current tools.
- Specialize in areas such as operating system forensics, network forensics, cloud forensics, malware analysis, technical recovery planning, and more.
Requirements
- Broad knowledge of IT environments, IT security and attack kill chains
- Enthusiasm for technology and analyzing complex systems and situations
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., (Business) Computer Science, Security, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience; certifications in IT forensics, penetration testing or auditing are a plus
- Determination to help organizations recover from cyber crises and a pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in German
