About the role
- Senior Software Engineer at HiQ covering the entire software development cycle from requirements to maintenance. Collaborating and developing solutions using modern tech and agile practices.
Responsibilities
- Cover the entire software development cycle, from requirements engineering through operation and maintenance
- Work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored solutions
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance systems and web applications according to customer requirements
- Advise and support clients throughout the development lifecycle
- Work with modern cloud technologies, containerization and serverless computing
- Operate within a scaled agile (Scrum) environment and coordinate with other software development teams
- Share knowledge within the team and onboard less-experienced developers
- Support the sales team in initial meetings with new clients and present our technology solutions at customer events
Requirements
- Several years of experience in collaborative software development, e.g., as a Software Engineer or in a similar role
- Degree in a STEM field or an equivalent qualification
- Solid knowledge of object-oriented and functional software development in modern programming languages (Kotlin/Java, Go, Python, TypeScript, etc.)
- Experience with common frontend technologies (React, Angular)
- Experience with microservices, cloud/Cloud Native frameworks and containerization
- Understanding of design patterns, Clean Code principles and Test-Driven Development
- Willingness to independently learn new technologies
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working with international clients
- Team spirit, personal responsibility and solution-oriented thinking
- Fluent German and English, both written and spoken (minimum level C1)
