About the role
- SAP PP/PS Consultant responsible for SAP ECC solutions focusing on production planning and project management. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure stable processes within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Main contact for the operation, configuration, development and maintenance of the SAP PP (Production Planning) and PS (Project Systems) modules in the SAP ECC environment, including second-level support
- Collaborate with users to assess change requests, conduct feasibility analyses, clarify detailed requirements, create functional designs and implement them in SAP configurations (standard or by preparing development specifications)
- Coordinate integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, FI/CO) as well as connected third-party systems (MES, detailed scheduling)
- Prepare functional specifications for ABAP developments, interfaces and reports
- Execute unit, integration and user acceptance tests (UAT) together with key users
- Provide end-user training, documentation and go-live support
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the optimization of existing processes and systems
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
- At least five years of practical experience as an SAP PP/PS consultant in an SAP ECC environment, including experience in second-level support and project work
- Candidates with basic knowledge in SAP PS who want to further develop in this area are also encouraged to apply
- Experience preparing development/programming specifications, coordinating with developers and conducting functional and integration tests
- Willingness and ability to become familiar with a heavily customer-specific SAP system
- Basic ABAP debugging skills; the position does not involve programming
- Experience with cross-area integration involving SD, FI/CO and PP
- Experience with interfaces to third-party systems (e.g., MES), including monitoring
- Familiarity with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow
- Analytical and independent working style and experience dealing with stakeholders
- Experience collaborating with offshore developers and external service providers
- SAP certification, at least in PP, is desirable
- German language skills (at least C1) and English skills (at least B2), both spoken and written
- Willingness to travel occasionally to the headquarters in Stuttgart
