Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Production, Purchasing, and Planning departments
- Implement design improvements to standard machines and accessories
- Modify and update Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routers according to production needs
- Responsible for revision control and timely phasing in and out of new part revisions
- Design and document jigs and fixtures for fabrication, machining, and assembly
- Drive cost reduction initiatives on purchased and manufactured parts
- Maintain engineering information within the company ERP system (M2M)
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant experience with Unifiller equipment preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes
- Strong knowledge of Kaizen and lean manufacturing methods
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Excellent knowledge of pneumatic control systems
