Responsibilities
- Performs engineering functions in mechanical and or HVAC Piping onboard US Naval Ships
- Design and develop engineering solutions to meet project requirements and specifications
- Conduct detailed analyses, simulations, and tests to validate design concepts and ensure system performance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate systems and optimize processes
- Prepare and review technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and presentations
- Identify and troubleshoot engineering challenges, proposing effective solutions in a timely manner
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance project outcomes
Requirements
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field
- Candidate must have design experience in a mechanical field, Piping and or HVAC on US Navy ships
- Candidate must have shipboard experience
- Candidate must have experience in writing engineering reports and or design recommendations
- Candidate must have experience performing ship checks on US Navy ships
- Candidate must be willing to Travel as required (approximately 25% or more travel time)
