About the role
- Accountant managing financial bookkeeping for Arethia in a trusted environment and contributing to team activities. Working independently on financial processes and supporting annual financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Independently carry out ongoing financial bookkeeping, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger accounting
- Manage payment transactions, cash and bank accounting
- Process travel expense claims
- Perform regular account reconciliations and monitor outstanding items
- Prepare VAT returns and statistical reports
- Assist with year-end financial statements and prepare monthly reports
Requirements
- Completed training as an accountant or an equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME)
- Confident use of common accounting software (preferably Microsoft Dynamics Navision) and MS Office, particularly Excel
- Independent and reliable working style
- Willingness to take initiative and a strong team player
- Good German and English skills, both written and spoken
