Responsibilities
Lead and grow a mission-focused team of software engineers to deliver market-leading solutions
Recruit, retain, and develop engineers by inspiring, motivating, and coaching team members to build a culture of high performance, trust, and continuous growth
Oversee team leaders and support them in achieving their missions and delivery commitments
Enable continuous delivery at scale by removing workflow roadblocks and improving processes
Ensure products are secure, compliant, and reliable for Henry Schein One customers
Collaborate with senior leaders on vision and strategy, aligning your teams’ work with company goals
Partner closely with Product leadership to influence and deliver on strategic commitments
Build cross-functional relationships to drive the best possible user experiences
Mature engineering practices and processes to support global growth opportunities
Positively and collaboratively influence decision-making across teams, departments, and stakeholders
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, preferred
7+ years of progressive software development experience with 1–2 years leading high-performing teams in remote/hybrid environments
Proven technical expertise with modern development practices; able to contribute code and architecture guidance
Experience balance leadership and delivery, thriving in a player-coach role and growing into full management
People Leadership: Mentoring, coaching, and enabling career development at both the individual and team-lead levels
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence across disciplines and senior leadership
Outcome-oriented mindset, skilled at balancing technical debt, bugs, innovation, and new features in alignment with business goals
