• Reporter covering Albany County geographical beat for Times Union, a leading news organization. Seeking enterprising and digitally savvy individuals to break news and tell impactful stories.

Responsibilities

• Bring energy and enthusiasm to looking beyond the surface to break news and tell impactful stories;
• Produce daily and longer-term enterprise content — including features as well as data-driven investigative pieces — for use across multiple platforms with a digital-first mindset;
• Create photos, videos, social media posts as essential elements of multi-dimensional storytelling;
• Work collaboratively and collegially with reporters, photographers, editors and producers

Requirements

• Minimum of three years working as a daily news reporter.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, history, political science or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong, clear, accurate writing ability that demonstrates attention to detail and grammar.
• Strong news judgment.
• Ability to confront officials, handle difficult conversations and hold people accountable.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
