About the role

  • Accountant for non-profit organizations handling daily financial operations and creating annual financial statements. Collaborating with various stakeholders and supporting internal projects in a motivated team.

Responsibilities

  • Timely recording and processing of day-to-day financial transactions for non-profit organizations
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for simple and complex non-profit organizations
  • Point of contact for employees, donors/founders, partners, auditors and regulatory authorities
  • Support the accounting team on recognition, valuation and presentation matters
  • Participate in and lead various internal projects

Requirements

  • Appropriate qualification, e.g., tax clerk, business administrator/economist, or certified accounting specialist (Bilanzbuchhalter)
  • Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
  • Proficient with MS Office applications; knowledge of MS Dynamics NAV / MS Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
  • Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working in a team
  • Service-oriented mindset and approach
  • Interest in supporting civic engagement
