About the role
- Accountant for non-profit organizations handling daily financial operations and creating annual financial statements. Collaborating with various stakeholders and supporting internal projects in a motivated team.
Responsibilities
- Timely recording and processing of day-to-day financial transactions for non-profit organizations
- Preparation of annual financial statements for simple and complex non-profit organizations
- Point of contact for employees, donors/founders, partners, auditors and regulatory authorities
- Support the accounting team on recognition, valuation and presentation matters
- Participate in and lead various internal projects
Requirements
- Appropriate qualification, e.g., tax clerk, business administrator/economist, or certified accounting specialist (Bilanzbuchhalter)
- Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting
- Proficient with MS Office applications; knowledge of MS Dynamics NAV / MS Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred
- Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working in a team
