About the role

  • Senior Project Manager overseeing Hamilton’s Community Safety and Well-Being initiatives. Engaging community leaders and facilitating project development and implementation activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of Hamilton’s Community Safety and Well-Being Plan
  • Build relationships with leaders and engage service providers
  • Facilitate conversations with community groups and attend key events
  • Develop governance model to oversee implementation of the Plan
  • Monitor and document key project issues and escalate as needed
  • Write staff reports to Council and Senior Management Team

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree in social sciences, public policy, human services or a related discipline
  • Experience in project management, policy analysis and program development
  • Extensive leadership experience working with diverse stakeholders
  • Problem-solving capacity related to complexities with multiple stakeholders
  • Proven organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft productivity tools, MS Visio
  • Professional training in project management or business analysis is an asset
