About the role

Senior Category Sourcing Manager responsible for structuring and driving category purchasing worldwide for Hager Group. Collaborating with stakeholders, consultancy and vendor management for business services.

Responsibilities

Responsible for designing, structuring and managing a category panel of vendors, service providers and other business partners.
Organize and lead market benchmarking, competitive bidding (call for tenders) and selection processes with multi-domain stakeholders.
Promote collaboration across Hager’s businesses to identify synergies and negotiate aggregated volumes to secure commercial benefits.
Report on progress against purchasing roadmaps for assigned spend categories and oversee execution of initiatives.
Deliver high-level performance within a collaborative culture, focusing on process standardization, implementation of best practices and regulatory compliance.
Drive the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) requirements into purchasing activities and ensure suppliers align with Hager’s objectives as set out in the Code of Sustainable Purchasing.

Academic degree or relevant qualification in business management, industrial management, information technology or engineering.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in procurement/purchasing.
Operational and technical understanding—experience related to consultancy, project management or Agile methodologies in digital environments is an advantage.
Proven ability to navigate and collaborate across departments, business units, geographies and disciplines.
Strong presence and interpersonal skills with the drive to build effective partnerships with key internal stakeholders, vendors/service providers and other business partners.
Demonstrated negotiation skills with familiarity in contractual negotiations, contract development and local regulatory requirements.
Fluent English; German and/or French language skills are a plus.
Experience with SAP; knowledge of SAP Ariba is a plus.
