About the role

  • Intern supporting cybersecurity consulting with Guidehouse's federal clients. Engaging in hands-on projects and learning development opportunities within a structured internship program.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with proofreading and formatting technical and policy documents.
  • Support the refresh and establishment of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Actively support and participate in cybersecurity consulting engagements and work with a team and the client to deliver the highest quality of work.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in IT general controls and cybersecurity.
  • Work across multiple stakeholders to understand business needs, concerns, and risks.
  • Analyze problems, apply quantitative analytical approaches, communicate effectively and confidently, work well in team environment.
  • Create high quality presentations and reports to effectively communicate project findings.

Requirements

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 0 years
  • Minimum Degree Status: Bachelor's Degree (Must still be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program through Fall 2026 and graduate by Summer 2027)
  • Ability to adhere to on-site work schedules in the DMV metro area as directed.
  • Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship now or anytime in the future; Students possessing F-1 or J-1 visas are excluded from interview schedules or being hired for this position.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust, Secret, or higher level of federal/government security clearance (US Citizenship is one of the requirements for security clearance).
