About the role
- Senior IT Systems Engineer supporting core IT infrastructure and driving innovation at GSS. Overseeing systems, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, resilience, compliance, and security
- Create robust automation to streamline IT processes
- Work closely with the business to expand Cloud platform capabilities
- Drive continuous improvements in technology stack
- Ensure platforms meet the highest security and compliance standards
- Handle Level 2 and Level 3 support tickets
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior systems engineering role within a corporate IT environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments
- Experience using and supporting the Microsoft 365 suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint
- Skilled in configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting Microsoft Intune environments
- Hands-on experience in deploying, configuring, and managing Azure Virtual Desktop environments
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, VMware) are a plus
