About the role
- Accountant for a Germany-based investment firm managing financial reporting and collaborating across departments. Role includes budget calculations and support for financial analyses and monthly reports.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the ongoing accounting for the individual companies and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Perform budget calculations and support the preparation of analyses and reports
- Assist in preparing annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
- Collaborate on cross-departmental projects and support the development/optimization of internal (ReWe) processes
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders (tax advisors, auditors, banks, tax authorities, etc.)
Requirements
- Completed commercial or tax-related vocational training, or a degree with a focus on finance and accounting
- At least initial professional experience in accounting
- Good knowledge of accounting in accordance with HGB
- Very good German language skills
- Very strong analytical skills, initiative and conscientiousness
- High level of personal responsibility and entrepreneurial thinking
