About the role

  • Accountant for a Germany-based investment firm managing financial reporting and collaborating across departments. Role includes budget calculations and support for financial analyses and monthly reports.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the ongoing accounting for the individual companies and prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
  • Perform budget calculations and support the preparation of analyses and reports
  • Assist in preparing annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code)
  • Collaborate on cross-departmental projects and support the development/optimization of internal (ReWe) processes
  • Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders (tax advisors, auditors, banks, tax authorities, etc.)

Requirements

  • Completed commercial or tax-related vocational training, or a degree with a focus on finance and accounting
  • At least initial professional experience in accounting
  • Good knowledge of accounting in accordance with HGB
  • Very good German language skills
  • Very strong analytical skills, initiative and conscientiousness
  • High level of personal responsibility and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Strong team skills and communication abilities
