About the role
- Platform Engineering Lead overseeing strategic development of IT core platforms in Essen or Muttenz. Responsible for operational security and team leadership in dynamic IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for central IT core platforms
- Actively shape the strategic development and evolution of the platforms
- Responsible for secure, stable and high-performing operations
- Continuously optimize platforms with regard to scalability, security and usability
- Work closely with IT Security and business units to define standards and processes
- Lead a team of platform owners and foster knowledge sharing
- Lead projects to introduce new technologies, platforms and services
- Identify trends and opportunities in the digital environment
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable qualification
- Several years' experience in leading teams
- Responsibility for business-critical IT platforms
- Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 services, Azure, Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Knowledge of cloud and on-premises infrastructures
- Experience in automation, standardization and building efficient platform processes
- Fluent written and spoken German and English
