About the role

Metering Operations Specialist supporting Good Energy’s operational and regulatory performance across gas and electricity supply types. Working closely with various teams to improve data quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Metering Lead, you will work closely with our Account Health, Metering, Settlements & Business Teams covering both Import & Export supply types across Gas and Electricity.
Support and strengthen Good Energy’s Operational and regulatory performance across various supply types.
Helping to improve our backlog position in various metering exception areas; including system integrity checks, unbilled metering issues, REC Data cleanse, MHHS programme updates.
Work with the Industry Operations Manager, Settlements Team, Metering Specialists and Business Import and Export teams to develop effective management of our Electricity & Gas supply portfolio.
Help the business to move to a position of regulatory compliance to all supplier obligations as per REC and BSCP.
Liaise with 3rd parties to ensure compliance with key industry principles and effective working practices.
Proactively contact customers where issues/data discrepancies are identified.
Support squad knowledge and capability by continuing to share and develop the knowledge on operational exceptions that can impact Billing, Settlements and Supplier Performance.
Collaborate with our Business teams (Import and Export) to support metering queries.

You are a quick learner, with a desire to build on your existing knowledge and experience to learn key industry processes in greater detail.
You have a sound understanding of the Energy Industry and dataflows.
You are analytical and inquisitive with a natural desire and ability to solve complex problems.
You are a team player with strong collaboration skills, able to work with leaders, specialists, and data analysts to achieve outcomes.
You have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
You are a quick learner who enjoys sharing their knowledge.
Desirables: Strong process improvement mindset and a track record of getting results by driving change. Interest in technology and finding tools and solutions to do things better and faster.
Previous energy experience from jobs/roles outside of Good Energy.
Experience from domestic and commercial portfolios both export and import.
