About the role

  • Data Engineer role focusing on building reliable data pipelines and architectures. Collaborate to ensure high-quality data availability for analytics, BI, and AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement and maintain reliable, scalable and secure data pipelines.
  • Ensure ingestion, transformation and provisioning of data from multiple sources.
  • Define and maintain data architectures focused on Analytics, BI and AI.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, governance and traceability.
  • Design and provide analytical data models for consumption in BI tools.
  • Develop dashboards, reports and strategic metrics using Power BI.
  • Ensure adherence to data visualization best practices and report performance.
  • Optimize performance and costs of data solutions in on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Support BI, Analytics, AI and business teams in efficient use of data and dashboards.
  • Produce technical documentation and evidence of delivered work.
  • Meet deadlines, targets and contractual obligations.
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion, transformation and load pipelines.
  • Design and maintain analytical structures for BI, reporting and dashboards.
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards, management reports and KPIs in Power BI.
  • Define metrics, KPIs and semantic layers for data consumption.
  • Prepare and provide reliable data for advanced analytics and AI models.
  • Optimize queries, processes and data storage structures.
  • Implement data validation, quality and governance routines.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources and business domains.
  • Automate data pipelines and reports through CI/CD.
  • Monitor data environments and dashboards, acting proactively to resolve issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation, data catalogs and contractual evidence.
  • Work collaboratively with BI, AI, development and business teams.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in Data Engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2022 or later) and T-SQL.
  • Experience in analytical data modeling (Data Warehouse, Data Mart, dimensional models).
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft data tools and services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL).
  • Experience integrating and ingesting data from transactional systems, APIs and files.
  • Hands-on experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI.
  • Knowledge of DAX, Power Query and semantic modeling.
  • Familiarity with data preparation for AI and Machine Learning projects.
  • Experience with version control, automation and CI/CD for data.
  • Knowledge of data security, governance and access control.
  • Ability to work in high-volume data and high-availability environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Data Processing, Information Systems, Informatics, Computer Engineering or other Information Technology fields; or a university degree in any area plus a specialization in Information Technology.
